What is WISE?Women in Stem Empowerment (WISE) events are STEM events that aim to empower students in grades 3-8. Each event is staffed by female 1678 volunteers that engage students in fun, hands-on activities and inspire them to consider STEM as a career path.
Since December of 2018, we have held 32 WISE events, reaching over 350 attendees, receiving amazing responses from parents and the community.

“I just wanted to let you know that [my daughter] has been having such a great time with these events - thank you so much for organizing them! In her words she said that she likes them because they combine two of her favorite things - crafting and science! And she also said that she really appreciated that your instructions were only guidelines and you encouraged creativity/flexibility/experimentation, which is just great.”
"I'm glad that you guys are running this program because it really provides a way for younger kids to feel comfortable with STEM."
"The event was a perfect cross of art and science."
