RoboCamp Resources
What are RoboCamps?
RoboCamps are one-week camps for 4th through 8th grade students. The camps combine hands-on robotics with team-building, STEM education, and traditional summer camp activities. What is the purpose of the RoboCamp Guides? The RoboCamp Guides are resources designed to help FRC teams organize and run their own robotics summer camps. They are based off of our own Davis Youth Robotics RoboCamp, which has expanded over the past three years to reach nearly 150 students in our community. There are two guides, the RoboCamp Administrative Guide and the RoboCamp Counselor Handbook. The RoboCamp Administrative Guide includes information about the different types of RoboCamp, staffing RoboCamps, and other administrative information pertaining to camp agendas, budget, and registration. At the end, there are email templates and sample forms and surveys. The RoboCamp Counselor Handbook is a resource for incoming student counselors and staff members to read through. It details the different emergency procedures and protocols, and includes professional resources that help develop a successful camp counselor staff. At the end, there is a comprehensive list of camp activities and games that help build teamwork skills and character. How do I get started? Please click here where you will be redirected to a Google Form. After filling that out, you will be linked to a Google Drive Folder with PDFs of the guides. |
