During alliance selection, we served as the captain of the third-seed alliance, inviting Team 9432 Team 8-Bit and Team 5660 Symmetrical Chaos as our alliance partners, with Team 226 Hammerheads as our backup robot. Our alliance opened playoffs with a close first-round victory, narrowly defeating the sixth alliance by two points. Unfortunately, during the eighth elimination match, our robot suffered a CAN bus failure, lowering us into the lower bracket. We quickly bounced back, winning our next match and advancing to the next round, where we once again faced the sixth alliance.

We concluded our 21st season at the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas, from April 16 to April 19, where we competed in the Daly Division against 75 of the top-performing teams in the world.  After 10 grueling qualification matches, we placed third with a record of 9-1.

After a back-and-forth match, we were ultimately eliminated from the Daly Division, concluding our playoff run. This elimination marked the end of our ten-year streak of winning our division at the FIRST World Championship and advancing to the Einstein playing field, a milestone that has become a defining part of our team’s legacy. While it was difficult to see our streak end, the experience has created a strong determination to come back stronger during the 2026 season, and despite this loss, we won the Gracious Professionalism Award, recognizing our outstanding demonstration of FIRST Core Values such as continuous Gracious Professionalism, sportsmanship, and working together both on and off the playing field.

Pinnacles regional results

We sailed through our first two elimination matches, meeting the second alliance captained by Team 581 Blazing Bulldogs in the semi-final match of the upper bracket. After a hard-fought match, we narrowly won with a score of 188 to 173, advancing to the finals. The finals once again pitted us against the second-seed alliance in two intense matches. In addition to winning the event, we won the Regional FIRST Impact Award for the second season in a row, the most prestigious award in FIRST that honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST, recognizing our commitment to inspiring interest for science and technology in our community.

Sacramento Regional results

We won our second regional of the 2025 season at Sacramento Regional on March 17, competing against 34 teams from across California. We started the regional off hot, winning 11 straight qualification matches, but faced fierce competition in Qualification Match 64, losing 187-184. Despite this loss, we maintained the first-place seed, captaining the first alliance and selecting Team 254 The Cheesy Poofs and Team 7137 Project 212. We swept through the playoffs, going undefeated and winning the event, setting an event high score of 223.

We also won the Innovation in Control Award sponsored by nVent, celebrating our innovative control system and application of electrical, mechanical, and software control components to provide unique machine functions.

Outside of competition, we collaborated with Team 2073 EagleForce to offer Girl Scout troops in the Sacramento area the opportunity to explore the world of robotics at the Sacramento Regional. These educational tours gave Girl Scouts the chance to visit robotics facilities, including the workshop where 2073 builds their robot, and learn about the engineering and teamwork that goes into creating competitive robots. They were also able to see the robots in action during gameplay, providing a hands-on understanding of FRC.
