Clemen-twins
2021
The "Clementwins" utilize minimalist mechanism designs packaged into a 17"x17" frame on two different drivetrains to optimize for speed in the 2021 at-home challenges.
Clemen-tiny (left) uses a similar intake which is placed on a swerve drivetrain, allowing the robot to control its field orientation regardless of the direction in which it is moving. Clemen-teeny (right) consists of a single-roller, pneumatically deployed intake mounted to a tank drive-style drivetrain, which provides maximum acceleration and grip.
clemen-tiny
Tiny features a 12-falcon swerve drive packaged into a 17.5” x 17.5” frame. Two drive motors and one steering motor per module enable the robot to quickly reach its top speed of 17 ft/sec. The bottom-loaded battery and flipped motors sit close to the ground, lowering the robot’s center of gravity to avoid tipping during tight turns.
Clemen-teeny
Teeny features a 17” x 17.75” FTC Treadrunner drivetrain modified to use eight falcons for maximum acceleration. Custom nitrile treads allow Teeny to maintain traction at its top speed of 21 ft/sec.
