“Citrus got real!” We started off our competition season during Week 1 at the Hueneme Port Regional in Port Hueneme, CA, from March 3-6.
For four days, our team participated in practice, qualification, and finals matches where we went against teams from California, Wyoming, Mexico, and Singapore. During our qualification matches, we were able to achieve the highest score in Week 1 of 140 points. At the end of quals, we went 11-1 and ranked first overall in the competition. |
With our alliance partners 4414 Hide Tide and 589 Falkon Robotics, we were able to go undefeated in the elimination matches and finals on our way to winning the Hueneme Port Regional. In addition, we won the Autonomous Award sponsored by Ford, which celebrates the team that has demonstrated consistent, reliable, high-performance robot operation during autonomously managed actions. It recognized not only our five-cargo autonomous routine, but also our automated traversal climb and color sorting system that allows us to avoid collecting cargo from the opposite alliance.
